Pilot Gab707 of DRL Flies Active Kilauea Volcano
DRL pilot Gab707 hiked three hours off trail to fly Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island on April 19th, just three weeks before it started erupting. Tough to fly here – strong winds, very turbulent near the ground, no landmarks – but Gab got within 4 meters of the lava for some epic angles.
